Course Overview

A Diploma in Human Resource Management is a specialized program that provides individuals with the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in the field of human resources.

This course is designed to equip individuals with the competencies required to practice Human Resource Assistants in both public and private sectors. It reflects the employers’ demand for qualified personnel, that would enable them to compete in an environment where technology is constantly evolving and the expectations of clients are becoming more demanding. The course is administered in three levels for a duration of five months per level and three months of industrial attachment within a period of two years.  A student must book for all papers in a level unless has been exempted by the HRMPEB.

Entry Qualifications

  • A level with at least 2 Principal Passes or Kenya Certificate of Secondary

Education (KCSE) mean grade C Minus (C-) and above or KCE Division III, KACE 1 Principal and 1 subsidiary

  • A certificate in Human Resource Management from a recognized institution
  • Holders of a recognized university degree in any business course with at least 2 GPA points
  • Equivalent qualifications as determined by Kenya National Qualifications Framework (KNQF) 5
  • Certified copies of academic/professional certificates and their respective official transcripts.
  • Copy of national ID or valid passport.
  • Certified copy of Secondary school certificate/Result slip.
  • Official coloured passport photo.

Duration & Structure of  The Programme

  • The program duration is 2 years
  • There shall be ONE Industrial attachment of 8 weeks.
  • A Student MUST pass the first trimester, which is a basic trimester for this program (i.e. No carryover from this trimester).
